lots of things for you (just for you)

yeah here's a big moleskine dump, with my computer out of business right now it's not as easy to scan things. so whoo.. here ya go.

Deja Vu

An assignment for my narrative class where we did a story based on the idea of deja vu...i really like this class because i just get to draw personal comics like i do all the time anyways. i'm totally winning the class!

More stuff

Presenting for his pleasure...The Black Scorpion (once again I'm going to redo it...but here's a mediocre scan of the piece of finished)

school stuffs

These pieces are for my thesis...which always sounds dumb when I explain it, but I'm doing portraiture of real people i "know" that normal people would consider freaks..but to me these people are amazing and anything but. So i'm portraying them in everyday backgrounds to take the theatrics out of their freakiness, because they're just people ya know? most of them are current members of the Coney Island Sideshow..along with a couple of burlesque friends of mine. There was going to be a second part where I drew normal people in the sideshow atmosphere, but both my teacher and i decided that it was better just to keep the focus on the freaks. This is new for me and i'm trying to be awesome...but it's not working very well

Bambi Galore
Donny Vomit

I'm going to steam ahead and do 5...get critiqued and then completely redo them...but i plan on preserving the pieces i have with maybe a tweak here and there.

i need to stop being afraid of success and be a fantastical failure.

stuff stuff

Here's a nonsense Christmas card i whipped up for school for them to sell.
these are donations to OCAD's Whodunit sale. all pieces are the same size and you can buy anything for $75. this is something Sheridan should have been doing for years...but they're kinda slow sometimes. i still don't know if my pieces sold, but the sales over so i can post these saying i did them

moleskin and school things

these are roughs for a school thing that will be used for the grad show. can you tell they're and @ sign?

Pekar Project

This is coming a bit late because I wasn't allowed to post until it was up on the site...then i forgot...BUT it's up now!

After being prompted by James Jajac I drew up this Harvey head in honor or Harvey Pekar's 70th birthday. There's lots of fantastic examples on the site from James, Jim Mahfood, Dean Haspiel, Micheal Fiffe, Jefferey Brown and bunches of others. The goal was 70, but Jeff Newelt (Jahfurry) has something like 90 now...it's so awesome, go check them out.
