Sketchbook catch up

yeah that's right, i have still not uploaded what i drew in the last couple week of school. not like i've been drawing a lot lately, i am a bum . i'm just in a bad way.

also, don't forget that everything that i've ever made that isn't bound in a sketchbook is for sale! i'm also taking commissions at very reasonable prices...and everyone who buys something between now and december gets entered to win a neat little price pack.

help me get a new computer so i can keep making awesome art for everyone!

Get your wallets ready...it's a SALE!

so here's the skinny. I am running out of room and looking to clean house of some illustrations. I also still need a new computer and money for things so I can continue doing what I love do and better maintain this blog.

so I'm have a crazy art sale!

you see all this paper and board...this is about half of what I really have, which is good, because I'll be taking crazy cheap commissions from now until December (in case you need something rad as a Christmas gift)

Little fanart paintings:
Black and white sketches will only be $10
Full colour watercolour or gouache only $25

these can be darn near anything you want me to draw.
I will also be taking caricature commissions for larger studio pieces at reduced prices. This includes family or couple drawings, which make great gifts.

On top of all this awesome, just about everything i've drawn up to today is for sale, including pieces from my final thesis, so all the watercolour caricatures and the freakshow paintings.
if you spool through this blog and see anything you like just e- mail me about it or comment. everyone needs cool original art and i want you to have mine!

Much Delayed

Fan expo Re-cap!

This event was GANGBUSTERS for me. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, said hi and supported what I do. I love to create so much, it's only ever been about making enough to continue making the things I love...and it's been hard. Not all the events are worth it. Let me tell you thought I never felt so alive then I did sitting behind that table watching things fly away from my table to happy new owners.

THANK YOU!

I've been in a rut pretty bad over the summer but this helped a bit.

To all you newcomers who I told to find my blog because I am a lame-ass without a website, welcome, thanks for seeing me at the Fan Expo and I hope you really enjoyed it as much as I did.

Friday and Saturday were crazy that started with seeing sweet old Stan Lee being wheeled by in a wheel chair before the convention opened and ended with rumours of how hideously overcrowded the damn Fan Expo staff let it get on Saturday.

My Lockemonster print got more attention than I ever thought it would. I only had 4 copies to sell (having sold 4 TOTAL between two conventions) and never thought I'd have to restock....they were all gone before the end of Friday. So at 2am I'm ordering more from Staples and begging a friend to bring them to the convention for me.
By the time they arrived to my table the Ackbar print had been sold out for over and hour....THEY SOLD OUT BY 3PM on Saturday!!! I was blown away...and felt like a fool for not ordering more, I could have sold twice as many.

Don't worry friends, as soon as I find a good printer in town I will restock and offer them online when my etsy store reopens. I was selling 8.5x11 prints at the con for easy framing, but would anyone want an 11x17 poster?

Thank you to the one guy who bought the Mermaid print. I didn't think it would sell like the other two...but i thought I would get rid of at least 5 of them. My hat off to that man, thanks for liking boobies sir.

There will definitely be more Lost and more Star Wars art in the future, so keep an eye out.
The conventon was so exhausting that I came home and went to bed for 2 days. Then I went to Maryland and drew caricatures at my cousins wedding. I just got back Tuesday and have been busting my hump to try and regain the stock I sold in prep for the Kerrytown Bookfest that I will be at all dau Sunday (the 12th) in Ann Arbor, MI....so STOP BY!

So I guess I'll stop boring you with with this non-art update. as soon as this bookfest is over I will be offering extreme prices on personal commissions and will start selling any and all art I have produced. So look through the archives and see what you might like. If it's not in a sketchbook and I still have it, it's for sale! (momma needs a new computer)

Canada Ahoy!

Well in a matter of days I will be on my way to Toronto for the Fan Expo. So anyone planning to attend should check me out! I'm sharing a table with Wild Things Creations and this year we have a big end cap space so it shouldn't be hard to miss us.

Since I have about 3.6 million things to do and no money or computer to do a lot of it I have decided to not bust my ass to get a new book out for the convention. For those of you who haven't seen me since the last Fan Expo I actually have 4 books you haven't seen. On top of that I have a lot of exciting felt pins, softcover sketchbooks ,prints and some original art....I'll also be trying to do caricatures for those willing to stand and be drawn (if I have enough table space...)

here's what my work table has been looking like...just so you know

ooops, i never told you about C3

C3 DRAWINGS!
i wanted to do a nice little C3 recap and post pictures and whatnot...but i went out of town right after that con so it just got away from me. Besides it being a really fantastic convention I actually got some really keen work done. it felt soooo good because i've been in such a slump....outside of the convention i'm back in it..but whatevs...

my new signage! i loooove it. hopefully before fanexpo the banner with actually be embroidered like the flags.

convention sketch. the board the dude gave me didn't support watercolour at all, so i had to do it in art stix for lack of markers. i need to draw gren arrow some more, he's a hunk. i also felt like i overcharged the guy...felt kinda bad. ah well, i needed gas money!

everyone's drawing ladies with bears, so here's something different but the same

yeah, crowning glory. as soon as i get a new computer this is going to be prints. and hopefully more star wars art to follow

jesus christ i miss having a computer

these are my final second semester thesis projects. I forgot to scan them before leaving school, so unless you are in my class this is the first time anyone beside another Sheridan student or my family is seeing them

this was drawn shrtly after his Carnegie Hall mishap. goobye stage dive...we'll miss you terribly...

these were drawn with a specific double frame in mind, so that's why they're not all neatly in the same picture. george got all grey due to a horrible watercolour accident so i'm going to have to redo him at some point. not like it's going to be a chore to draw the beatles some more...

a page from my book Loving and Losing. it didn't make it in due to formatting issues. you smart people can probably figure out who it is...he's not really a possibility, but i can dream. (PS...it's not delight you retards)
